Department of Management and Organization
Foster School of Business University of Washington
I am an organizational behavior doctoral student at the Foster School of Business. My research seeks to better understand the lived experiences of historically marginalized employees (i.e., women, people of color, LGBT+, and other social categories, as well as those of intersecting marginalized identities) within organizations, and how these employees are best able to express themselves as it relates to their identity, culture, or personal beliefs (e.g., rich cultural-identity expression, authentic voice). I explore the role of coworker support, power, and allyship in inciting identity expressions and authentic voice behaviors, and how these voice behaviors enhance one's social status and ability to be recognized as an emerging leader. I will be on the 2027-2028 academic job market. A link to my recent CV can be found HERE.
I received my BA in Psychology from Knox College, my MBA from Aurora University, and my Master's in Organizational Leadership from Arizona State University. Prior to starting my doctoral program, I managed food safety programs of clients at Ecolab, Inc., ensured the integrity of product data to global retailers at Wilton Brands, LLC., oversaw a global data governance team at Sensient Technologies, Inc., and lead the data governance program at USAble Life Insurance.
